What is a Bone Tumor?
Bone Tumor is the uncontrolled division of cells in the bone. Bone tumors are mostly caused by
unknown. A growing tumor can replace healthy tissue with abnormal tissue. It can weaken the bone and cause it to break. Aggressive tumors, if ignored, can lead to disability or
can lead to death.
Bone Tumors
Most bone tumors are benign. Some are malignant.
Benign tumors are usually not life-threatening. Malignant tumors can spread cancer cells throughout the body and metastasize.
Benign Bone Tumors:
In most cases, benign tumors only need to be monitored. Some can be effectively treated with medication. Some benign tumors disappear over time;
this is especially true for some benign tumors in children.
Malignant Bone Tumors:
Malignant tumors are often treated with surgery. Radiotherapy can be applied together with surgery.
Chemotherapy is often used when cancerous tumors have a very high chance of spreading.
